September 23, 2011 - Award-winning Tampa tea room and bistro opens in Carrollwood Village

The Empress Tea Room and Bistro, along with Divine Menus catering, are celebrating the grand opening of their brand new Carrollwood Village tea room, bistro, catering house and all occasion event space

Tampa, FL– The Empress Tea Room and Bistro is officially announcing the reopening of their doors in popular Carrollwood Village after relocating from Temple Terrace where they served tea lovers since 2003.  The Empress’ award-winning culinary team and restaurant proprietor, Kim Nauman, will now serve their renowned high teas, mouth-watering dishes and catered, custom designed menu offerings, in the heart of North Tampa in a charming “old world style” restaurant doubling as an open-to-the-public event space to use for any type of affair.  The establishment will celebrate their grand opening at an open house event on August 25 from 6 to 9p.m. and throughout the month of September.

Already referred to as cozy, extremely elegant, and serene, The Empress Tea Room and Bistro’s brand new Carrollwood restaurant, event space and gift shop was designed with its loyal patrons in mind.  In the interest of setting a new standard in Tampa Bay teatime, The Empress’ warm and friendly staff, made-to-order delicacies, flowing outdoor water views, Victorian period décor and soothing instrumental music (often that of live harpists), is undoubtedly poised to become the area’s premiere daytime or nighttime event space.

“We’re honored to be serving Tampa Bay in our sparkling new Carrollwood restaurant and event space,” boasts owner Kim Nauman.  “Most of all, we’d like our patrons to know that in addition to the extraordinary culinary experience they’ve come to know and love, we’re now offering the opportunity to host their own private events right here in the Empress!”

Centrally located with an at-home feel, the Tampa tearoom staple is ideal for a wide range of personalized events from bridal showers, office lunches and baby showers to holiday parties, engagement and wedding receptions to even just intimate sips of tea for one or two.  Evening events can be booked for up to eighty people including a dance floor and banquet-style seating for up to one hundred guests.  Interested parties can schedule a free consultation with the Empress team to create a 100% customized menu for their event.
