How three local women’s philanthropic vision and desire to do something good will benefit the American Cancer Society and Tampa Bay brides-to-be

Tampa, FL –Did you know over two million Americans begin their lives together each year? Sadly, each year over a half million others lose their lives to cancer. If you’re like most people, chances are someone you know or love has been or will be affected by the deadly disease. This month, brides wanting tomake a difference while planning their big day in style are invited to attend the 1st annual “Engaged for the Cure” bridal show event in St. Petersburg on Saturday, January 24th where brides-to-be will link up with some of Tampa Bay’s top bridal experts all in the name of raising money for the American Cancer Society (ACS).

ACS “Relay for Life” team members and close friends Jennifer Bishop, Tuesday Sprague and Lisa Marie Swenson of Tampa Bay, “wanted to do something different,” says Tuesday, “to help raise money for cancer research to help save lives, while creating a very special planning experience for brides and their families.” Having enjoyed the wedding planning process themselves as brides or bridesmaids, the women recognized a lack of completely philanthropic Bay Area bridal events. Engaged for the Cure will be just that, with 100% of proceeds going straight to the American Cancer Society. “Every proceed and donation collected for Engaged for the Cure will be shared entirely with the American Cancer Society. Thanks to the support of our generous donors, we have been able to organize this very special bridal event featuring close to forty vendors, a full fashion show and plenty of planning opportunities,” says Tuesday. “If you’re tying the knot and love making a difference, then you won’t want to miss this meaningful bridal event!”
