September 21, 2010 - September Charity Event Will Benefit Local Non-Profit School for the Deaf While Providing Children with Fine-Art Holiday Photos

Cannonfire Photography’s 'Christmas in September' charity event will donate 100% of its proceeds to The Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf

St. Petersburg, FL – Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf is much more than its name describes. Unlike other traditional deaf programs, the school also enrolls children who are hearing or who have deaf siblings and also children with deaf parents. This unique outreach has proven to create an environment that truly allows students to learn, grow and to understand a culture much different from their own. To benefit this important institution and cause, Cannonfire Photography is teaming up with bay area businesses to provide fine-art holiday images and a fun experience to local children on September 24th and 25th in St. Petersburg.

Children of all ages are invited to join Cannonfire Photography (and sponsors like Chick-fil-a) for a special September photography fund-raiser to benefit Clearwater's Blossom School for the Deaf - Florida's only non-profit Montessori school for deaf children and their siblings. ALL proceeds from the event go to the school.

About Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf: The Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf provides an innovative and exciting academic environment for children who are deaf or hard of hearing. In addition, unlike other traditional deaf programs, Blossom also enrolls children who are hearing and have deaf siblings, and children with deaf parents. We have also opened our doors 'a little wider' to a limited number of hearing children without a connection to the Deaf community. With this new outreach, students learn and grow in an environment that offers them a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to understand a culture much different from their own, and to learn American Sign Language, a language that transcends all geographic barriers. Blossom is different and Blossom makes a difference in the lives of children. For more information, visit www.blossomschool.org.
